    About

Periwinkle Sheep yarns are lovingly hand dyed in small batches in my studio in Albany, NY. The city sits on the traditional lands of the Kanien'keháka and Muh-he-con-neok people, who stewarded this land for generations before the arrival of the colonists.

I've been a dyer for 19 years. Periwinkle Sheep yarns are mindfully sourced, are mulesing free, and except for yarns with stellina content, are OEKO Tex 100 certified.

I mix dyes fresh for each batch, according to my own recipes. The yarns are dyed, rinsed, and handled carefully throughout to avoid tangles.

All of your orders are lovingly packaged in inner bags and envelopes from Eco Enclose; I write a personal thank you with each order and include some tea for you, or other small gift.

I hope you'll enjoy your new yarn as much as I love dyeing it for you!
